Gift-Giving at Tarlac and Guimaras

Tarlac and Guimaras | February 19-21, 2019

We’re back to Tarlac and Guimaras for the second phase of the Memory Project’s gift of portraits to kids!

February 19, 2019 | Sitio Manabayukan and Sitio Binyayan, Barangay O’Donell, Capas Tarlac.
At 4 in the morning, the team were already all set going to Tarlac.
We went to two Sitios to give to the kids their portraits. Last July 2018, we took their photos.
Sharing with you some of my favorite photos during this trip.

And for the following day, our team fled to Guimaras.
Here’s some of the photos I took for our portrait-giving event at two schools - Dasal Elementary School and Ayangan Elementary School:

We stayed at Andana Hotel.
The said hotel is amazing and very picturesque!
I also love our room/pod which is very modern and minimalistic.
The whole team really had a great time staying here.

This three-day vacation was worth it and truly memorable!

Pre-Birthday Trip at Camp Wagi Beach Resort

Calatagan, Batangas | February 3, 2019

It’s been a tradition for me to go to places I have never been yet during my birthdays.

For this year, my travel destination was at Camp Wagi in Calatagan, Batangas.
I went here for a day trip tour.

We rode a van beside Kabayan Hotel going to Calatagan. Fare is 200 pesos per head. It was a three-hour travel time.

Then upon reaching Calatagan Terminal, we rode a tricycle going to Camp Wagi Beach Resort. Tricycle fare is 250 pesos.

It was 4 am when we left Manila and we reached the resort at almost 8 in the morning.

Entrance fee is 100 pesos for a day tour but if you will rent a nipa hut, the fee will be waived.

We negotiated to get the nipa hut for 700 pesos.

Long sand bar and cold breeze welcomed us. There were only few visitors so it felt like we rented the whole resort.

It was also low tide when we got there and because of it, we saw little sea creatures at the shores such as baby crabs, hermit crabs, star fishes, snails, sea cucumbers and a lot more!

We also had a long walk at the shore and it felt refreshing!

We brought food for our breakfast, lunch and merienda.

After eating for breakfast, it was swimming time and some photo op!

The resort has kind and hospitable staffs! They even lent us eating utensils.
I highly recommend this resort!

We left the resort at past 4 in the afternoon because we have to catch the van’s last trip which is 5:30 pm.
Today’s trip may be short but we enjoyed the best out of it!
Hopefully next time, we’ll be back there for an overnight trip.

Brgy. O'Donell, Capas, Tarlac
December 29-30, 2018

Last December, we were back in the mountains of Tarlac to share some Christmas blessing to the Indigenous families that already has a place in our hearts.

Here' the link to the write up that I wrote for Project Pearls.
