Angono, Rizal_Coffee Escapades (2023)

Angono Escapades

Coffee.

Nice View.

Sunset.

City lights.

Just good vibes.

These are the things we got to experience when we tried different coffee shops with overlooking view in Angono, Rizal.

Cafe Infinite

The first one we tried was the Café Infinite.

I loved their egg drop and iced café mocha.

It’s a perfect tambayan, kubo feels on top of a mountain.

Thank you, Waze and thank you to our motorcycle that got us here.

City Escape Cafe

The second one we’ve tried was the City Escape Café and we were lucky enough to witness the sunset view upon reaching the café. It was amazing!

As for the food, we just ordered Milk Teas and Iced Coffee. I went here with my Hubbs, my brother and his girlfriend.

Their drinks were okay but I love the food more at Café Infinite.

Kape-Hingahan

The third one we’ve tried was the Kape-Hingahan. I enjoyed the night vibe when we got there.

It would be my top two next to Café Infinite.

Visiting coffee shops in Angono with an overlooking view of city lights has been a quick escaping zone for me.

We have our daily life and routines that sometimes or even most of the time stress us out and there are coffee shops that took it away even for just a little while.

And then we’re ready to face the world again.

That’s life.

We just enjoy every second of it.

We’re ready for more coffee shop hunting!

CDO, Iligan, Bukidnon Trip (August 2023)

Aug 2-4, 2023 My Northern Mindanao Work and Play Trip

My dream destinations nowadays are the beautiful provinces of Mindanao.

And I was given the chance last August of 2023 to visit three! They were Cagayan De Oro, Iligan and Bukidnon.

Even though this trip was for work, I still had the chance to seize the moment and enjoy what I could had that time.

Our flight was from Manila to CDO.

We just had an early lunch at one of the restaurants in CDO then we’re off to Iligan to visit one of our stores there.

We finished early to we had the chance to visit Maria Cristina Falls – but the entrance only because it was recently closed then we went to Tinago Falls.

The falls was majestic! It enticed me to take a dip there if only we had a lot of time.

So, we just went down the 300 plus steps to witness its beauty up close and personal and then after some photo ops, we went back up again.

It was tiring getting down and up but it was worth it.

I had fun!

Then we’re off to Valencia, Bukidnon.

We had a dinner at CDO before heading to Valencia.

We reached Valencia already late at night and we checked in to a hotel near our store.

The following day, we went to our store after having our breakfast.

Then by after lunch, we went to Camp Philips where the Del Monte Pineapple plantation is located.

We also went to Del Monte Golf Course.

We went to Dahilayan Adventure Park. And even though, it rained that day, we still had the chance to enjoy the place.

We bought pineapples for pasalubong!

Then we’re finally back to CDO because the following day was our flight back to Manila.

When we reached CDO, we went to our store there to work.

We checked in to our hotel then we had dinner there.

It was a quick trip but we had a little fun and enjoyed it.

I’m grateful for this chance.

And to more adventure in Mindanao please.

Hi, Universe! I’m waiting!

Thank you, Lord God for the chance to see your wonders!

April 2023 at Eastwood City

Eastwood City: My Home Away From Home

For the holy week of April 2023, it was a five-day break from work.

And I chose to just spend it at home – with our dogs.

But Hubby and I had a chance to roam around Eastwood just like we used to every time we are free.

We had a quick church visit then we also went to the grocery.

We also had a short walk around Eastwood.

Eastwood City has been my home for more than 10 years.

Whenever I had money and time, I walk around here, spending time at coffee shops, affordable restaurants, parks and my favorite of all - grocery.

And I usually do it alone. I love my ‘Me Time’ here. But I also love hanging out with my friends and of course with my Hubby here.

It’s always finding the goodness in everything for me.

I maybe living in a community where high-rise buildings are situated with fast-phasing people walking around but somehow, I can still find some slow-life time.

When I roam around here, there’s a feeling of little at ease and less-crowded surroundings in which introverted ones like me love to hang out at.

The best time for me to walk around Eastwood is at 2 pm. There are less people and more peaceful.

If my little getaway area become a little crowdy, then it’s finally time for me to escape and go back home.

But at least, I’ll be going home recharged and happy.

Eastwood City will always be a home (away from home) for me. Forever.

Ayala Triangle Revisited (2023)

March 2023

Ayala Triangle, Ayala Avenue, Makati City, Philippines

I go here occasionally.

Especially during Christmas time and most of the time with friends.

But it’s been a while since the last time.

Maybe five years ago?

And last March 2023, I had the chance to revisit the Ayala Triangle. It’s now a wider and prettier park.

Who would also have thought that this park (now) was once an airport?

That’s why it was called Ayala Triangle because it has a landing area before.

In the middle of a concrete jungle, there’s a flying zone.

Back to the present time, I love the way how it looks now.

Nature. Tranquility. Scenic view. A piece of a green paradise at the heart of a busy city.

When I walk around the park while waiting for my friends, somehow, I felt peace inside my head. I love walking. I love trees. I love scenic views. And this is a not-so-secret haven for me.

For this day, I took photos of my friends’ family for their kid’s birthday.

It was a tiring yet fun photoshoot day with the kids I love. I enjoyed being with my friends and their family.

I love taking photos of them as much as I love them!

I would also love to have a run around here sometime soon.

Or just sit on the park while reading a book.

If this is only near at home, I would always be here.

We need more people parks – not car parks, in the city, just like this one.

And I hope it will happen soon.

Our Cavite Trip (Kaybiang Tunnel and Ternate Beach)

December 20, 2023

It’s our 3rd wedding anniversary and to celebrate this little win in our life, we went to Dalaroy Beach Resort in Ternate Cavite with Kaybiang Tunnel as our side trip before going home.

For our Day 1 – we had a three-hour travel time from Taguig to Ternate, Cavite.

Our first destination was Dalaroy Beach Resort. We checked in at 7 pm. We were four in the group and we booked a beach front kubo.

After settling, we had dinner in front of our kubo house. We brought Adobo that hubby cooked at home. We also brought a camping tent. Then after dinner, we bought hard drinks on a nearby convenience store. We also brought portable stove and cookware. So, we even had smores through our improvised bon fire.  It was a quiet and fun night until 12 midnight under the bright moon light and a fine weather. We went there on a weekday that there’s only few guests who went. It was as if we rented the whole resort!

Thank you, Lord God for this day, for a safe travel.

Day 2.

The following day, we woke up at 7 am then we prepared for breakfast. We had coffee then bread and we cooked pancit canton.

We also went for a morning swim on the resort’s pool with a scenic view.

Then we transferred to the beach.

At 11 am, we washed up and had our lunch. We had corned beef for lunch.

We then finally checked out.

For our side trip, we went to Kaybiang Tunnel.

At the side of the road, we saw a lot of monkeys and I enjoyed our mini-zoo side trip!

The Kaybiang Tunnel has already been a tourist spot and we even had some photo ops there and we bought pasalubong before finally going home.

We reached home before 6 in the evening.

Happy 3rd wedding anniversary, Love! I had so much fun on our quick getaway trip.
