Treasure Mountain
Tanay, Rizal
Aug. 20-21, 2017
I missed having an overnight on top of a mountain. The
last time I did this was two years ago at Mount Batulao in Batangas.
So for this trip, we planned an overnight on this I so
called no-sweat hike!
Our itinerary of 4 pm must be already on the resort haven’t
fulfilled due to the heavy traffic we didn’t expect at the Marcos Highway.
We went there via commute. From Cubao, we rode a jeepney
bound to Antipolo Cogeo. Then from Cogeo, we rode another jeep going to
Sampaloc Tanay.
Just tell the driver to drop you off at Sitio Maysawa and
then from there, we took a tricycle going to Treasure Mountain.
It was already past 6 in the evening when we reached the
place and it was dark already when we set up the tent.
200 pesos was the entrance fee for an overnight trip plus
300 pesos for the tent pitching. We brought our own tent. We paid on the
entrance.
For more info, you can visit their Facebook Official Page:
Treasure Mountain.
And through this page also you can book your trip.
Our package included breakfast for two and usage of the
swimming pool.
Unfortunately, we haven’t seen the sea of clouds for the
sunset.
But at least the next day we woke up we then saw its amazing
view.
Sunrise!!!! And I so loved it!
Tips:
1.
Make sure to keep dry your tent. It rained the
entire night and we needed to relocate our tent so we couldn’t get wet. Bring
also tarp to protect your tent. And since it rained the whole night, it was
really cold. Bring blankets to keep you warm.
2.
The water at the toilet ran out so bring a lot
of wet wipes.
3.
It would be much better to bring your own food
than to avail their meals because based on what we experienced, we have to wait
for at least an hour before our food was served. You also have to wait for a
vacant table.
4.
Wake up at 5 am, forget your sleepiness for you
to see the amazing sunrise view.
Thank you Treasure Mountain for this experience!
