Family Trip to Antique and Boracay (Aug.2024)

A Long Weekend Well Spent with My Family

August 16-20, 2024

It is always a nice feeling going back to my hometown. And I am so grateful that I’m blessed to have the chance to go home frequently.

This time, we went to Tibiao, Antique to celebrate our Lola’s 90th birthday.

Here’s our itinerary for the trip.

For our Day 1: Our flight was at 5 am so as early as 3 am were already at the airport. Our flight was delayed and we reached Kalibo at 7 am.

Then, it was a 3-hour trip going to Tibiao. We had a lunch at our tiny and humble “ancestral home”.

At 1 pm, we went to Kawa Inn to settle down.

Then at 2 pm, we rode a pick up going to Calawag Mountain Resort or simply called as CMR. We went there for some photo ops, swimming time and boodle fight for meryenda!

Then at 5 pm, we went to CBR for a sunset swim and for us to experience Lambaklad fishing.

Then we’re back to Kawa Inn at 7 in the evening to wash off and for dinner.

At 9 pm, it’s bed time. It was a jam-packed day! It was tiring but it was worth it. Plus the fact that I’m with my family that made this super memorable for all of us.

As for the day 2:

We woke up as early as 6 am because our agenda for this day was to go to Culasi and visit Mararison Island once again.

We rode a public van and it drop us off to Culasi.

We bought some food for snacks and breakfast.

Then we rode a boat going to Mararison Island.

We enjoyed our 4-hour stay there! White sand beach with long sand bar, sunny day, clear skies, deep blue sea with mountains on the background were the perfect set of view that all of us surely enjoyed. I would always love to go back here over and over again.

At 12 noon, we’re back to Culasi and we ate our lunch there on a nearby cafeteria before going back to Kawa Inn. We rode a van once again.

At 2 pm, we then prepared for Lola Ninang’s 90th birthday that will happen at Kawa Inn’s event place.

It ended at 7 pm and by 9 pm, I was already asleep.

For our Day 3 was Boracay Day!

We ate first for breakfast and then we left Kawa Inn at 9 am and we’re on our way to Caticlan.

It was a 2-hour travel time. We then rode a boat going to Boracay.

By 12 noon, we’re already at our hotel but we waited until 2 pm for our check in time.

We had lunch at Mang Inasal.

Then at 4pm, we went to Station 2 for swimming time until sunset. Boracay sunset never ceased to amaze me. It was a picture-perfect red sky.

And by 7 in the evening after rinsing off, we had our dinner at Peri-peri. It was a birthday treat of our cousins Joann and Shantelle. Then back to our hotel.

By 9 pm, being a certified “Tita”, I was already asleep.

For our day 4, we were all dressed in white for our family photo ops.

At 7 am, we had our breakfast on a nearby cafeteria.

Then at 8 am, we went to Station 1 for photo ops ang swimming time.

We even made a tiktok vid!

At 11 am, we’re back to our hotel to rinse off and to check out by 12 noon.

By 1 pm, we’re back to Caticlan. We had lunch at Mang Inasal before riding a rented van going back to Kawa Inn.

At 5 pm, we paid a visit for our late cousin Snow. We greeted her for her birthday last August 9. Being a certified Tita once again, I was already asleep at 8 am because we need to wake up at 2 am.

Our flight going back to Manila via Kalibo was 5 am.

We’re already home by 7 am!

This trip was another core memory unlocked. Thank you, Lord God for the provision, guidance and unlimited blessings and for always keeping us safe and happy.

Thank you for the gift of family. To more travels together, fam! God and you are my rock. And so, we rock!
